The AK 161 coupling is equipped with the coupling safety system developed by ALKO itself. On the head of the ball joint there is a green insert that indicates correct coupling.

As soon as the trailer is coupled to the ball of the car's hook, the green insert lifts, exposing itself visually. In this way it is possible to prove that the trailer-car coupling has been carried out perfectly and the hook has a secure grip on the ball.

All AL-KO hooks are guaranteed to ensure perfect fixing with maximum angular excursions of 25 ° on the horizontal plane and 20 ° on the vertical plane.

If these values are exceeded, the coupling components are subjected to excessive stress and the correct coupling of the towing vehicle-trolley is no longer guaranteed.
